EmblemHealth Sells WellSpark Health to Vitality Group

NEW YORK, NY – November 19, 2024 - EmblemHealth, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health insurers and a market leader in value-based care, today announced it has sold WellSpark Health to Vitality Group, LLC.
“WellSpark has brought innovative coaching, personal support, and wellness engagement solutions to members in thirty states. We are proud to have launched WellSpark within our enterprise. Selling the company to Vitality will allow it to continue to grow and continue to make a measurable difference in people's lives,” said Karen Ignagni, Chief Executive Officer, EmblemHealth family of companies.
For more than ten years, WellSpark has provided wellbeing solutions including a wellness platform and coaching services to employers across the country, including some of the hardest-to-reach workforces.
Vitality is the world's largest behavior-change platform, dedicated to guiding people toward better health. By combining industry-leading technology, data, artificial intelligence, incentives, and behavioral science, Vitality encourages healthy changes for individuals and organizations. The sale was completed on November 14, 2024.
