New York, NY – November 21, 2024 – EmblemHealth, one of the largest nonprofit health insurers in the United States, hosted an educational webinar on healthy aging, where expert panelists discussed what healthy aging means decade by decade, how to manage chronic conditions including arthritis, how to maintain physical and mental well-being and more.

Andrea Jacobson, AVP, Public Policy & Government Engagement, EmblemHealth, led the discussion with expert panelists: Dr. Igor Giterman, Senior Medical Director, ACPNY; Caroline Fisher, Senior Wellness Program Development & Delivery Specialist, WellSpark Health; and Nick Turkas, Senior Director, Patient Education and Community Connections, Arthritis Foundation.

In her opening remarks, New York City Council Member Crystal Hudson, Chair of the Aging Committee, said: “I’m working hard every single day along with my colleagues to make sure that New York City is the best place for everyone to grow older...
