Donna Hughes joins the EmblemHealth family of companies as Chief Human Resources Officer. Hughes is an accomplished, transformational executive, with more than 20 years of Human Resources, leadership, and legal experience. A thought leader in fast-paced evolving companies, Hughes is known for using her differentiated experience to drive human capital strategies that deliver positive business outcomes. Hughes previously served as SVP, Human Resources, for Impax Laboratories, Inc., where she led the Human Resources and Internal Communications functions, before founding her own Human Resources consultancy company. Before Impax Laboratories, Hughes served on the Global Leadership Team and Human Resources Leadership Team for Actavis, plc, leading human resource integration work streams through significant growth and transformation.
Hughes earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers College. Hughes holds a Master’s Certificate in NextGen Human Resource from Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations Executive and Professional Education Program.
