New York, NY – February 10, 2025 – As part of its commitment to improving community health and ensuring access to essential resources EmblemHealth partnered with local elected officials and community organizations to host a series of farmers markets, cultural celebrations, and wellness initiatives throughout January. These events offered residents fresh produce, health resources, and culturally meaningful experiences to promote well-being.

EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care distributed more than 200 free bags of produce at farmers markets across New York City. These farmers markets are made possible by partnerships with local leaders including:

• New York State Assemblyman Clyde Vanel
• New York State Senator Roxanne Persaud
• Councilmember Crystal Hudson

These events served as vital opportunities for residents to obtain fresh, nutritious food while connecting with EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care, who provided one-on-one health plan support, free wellness programming, and connections to local resources.

EmblemHealth joined community leaders and organizations to celebrate Three Kings Day (Dia de Reyes), a cherished tradition in Latino communities, through multiple events across the Bronx. A special thank you to local elected officials and community partners who made these events possible including:

• Worksite Wellness Open Houses in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
• Lunar New Year celebrations where the EmblemHealth Community Engagement team promoted health resources and community well-being.
