Mittelman, Director of the Psychosocial Research and Support Program of the NYU Center of Excellence on Brain Aging, NYU Langone Medical Center, and Ilene Margolin, Senior Vice President of EmblemHealth at the 4th Annual New York City Family Caregiver Coalition award ceremony, which was hosted by EmblemHealth. Dr. Mittelman and her team were honored for their groundbreaking research on the effect of psychosocial interventions for family members caring for loved ones with cognitive impairment or dementia. Ms. Oliveira was honored in recognition of the Foundation’s innovative support to provide women and girls, many of whom are caregivers, expanded opportunities to achieve sustained economic security. In her welcoming remarks, Ms. Margolin recounted EmblemHealth’s many initiatives to support the family caregiver.
